Lost Mutants updates

Hey

Sorry for a new thread since it's a little more relevant to what's going on.

I'm slowly writing up Lost Mutants, having picked it up after I released Quarkblitz 2k23 and some things are already finalised to come in.

Starring:
Blake Stone as himself
Serge Ivankov - a new villain to defeat at the end of the game
Hulk mutants
Mutated bats
Welcome back the Bio Technician, Star Sentinel and the Sector Patrol

-Potentially Doom music
-Blake stone style doors like in Quarkblitz 2k23
-A secret level set in Space
-Some potential surprises

I have no timeframe unfortunately on the release and it will be quite a lot to do.

This will be my 2nd SDL mod and I'll think about it :)

Updates so far on the Lost Mutants:

-Characters in progress of being created
-New monsters added including Hulk Mutant which will launch physical attacks when close up
-New landscape textures
-Coding still being drafed and looked into
-Sounds still being added
-Title page is completed

So far still a long way to go and as weeks go by I'll try and grab some screenshots. I can't give any promises as I don't want to disappoint anyone but rest assured, the mod is being worked on and I'm already self helping on my levels by looking at guides etc.

Another update now at the end of the week.

-Flamethrower is being implemented and tested so expect at least 6 weapons in total
-Almost all enemies are created. Just one left to go.
-VGA graphics are still in progress
-Level 1 is almost complete
-New landscape is in the game

I'll try and be surprising if I can as it's now the weekend :)

Updates so far on the Lost Mutants:

-6 weapons available for use
-Level design in progress
-Weapons and hulk mutant testing complete
-Coding still to be processed
-A partial story revamp
-The antagonist is fully complete with just sounds left to be done.

I have been inactive but here's some news to go

-New sounds being implemented
-All enemies re created
-Level design in progress
-More coding to work on

Like I say, keep an eye out guys. Still some solid work left that needs doing and I'll see if I can produce a video trailer :)

Update so far:

Sorry that progress is indeed slowly. I am super busy in my personal life.

-Level design is in progress at the moment
-VGA graphics to be worked on shortly
-Coding still to be done

The level design is currently the solidest being worked on.

As I said, I can't make any promises on release date but it's definitely likely to be a release this year.

More updates now

-Level design is coming along

Once the above 3 are completed. it will reach testing phase.

Some more work done:

I have determined something else to do:
-Music from Doom, Duke Nukem and TNT Evilution to feature as I want some dark music in this one.
-Working on some more coding to try
-Testing in progress of levels
-Level design is coming to near completion and while testing, touch ups will be done.

Update now on Lost Mutants
-Majority of levels are complete with some minor changes like level names
-New graphics in VGA with a few more nearly in
-Coding and testing are to be the next stages before seeing completion.

I can see you guys are getting excited now.

Here are more updates:
Graphics almost complete
Sounds almost complete
Gameplay in testing
Coding is still needed and then will edit the endart.

I would estimate there's still some time to go. I'll keep quiet for now as I probably update too much until the release :)

Dude, I will see if I got the time for it tonight or in next few days. I'm working late shift this week so I'll be able to squeeze something in if I get time.
