[Released] Return to Danger - IDeas FormGenerations

First of all, a big thank you for the participants. I honestly didn't think this would be such a big project that would gain so much interest. Every map is unique and fun, some provide bigger challenges than others, some are just a break from the constant action. Second of all, a disclaimer to players: Don't expect this to be the best mod of all time. This project served as a playground for those who felt comfortable mapping with the given assets and rules, so expect a big variety of maps.

As promised, I didn't do any coding changes so this should be playable in any port.

Oh wow, that's a neat idea! Those graphics look great! Too bad I'm just not up for Wolfenstein mapping right now... ;_;

I'm interested in making a few maps, will I be able to arrange to send my
completed maps via personal message? I can manage at least 4 maps to start with.

Agreed on the Mutant Bats, that was funny and unexpected. I have one small nitpick with Trans, I would say give him a bit of blue. Maybe blue pants and/or boots.

Btw, I have Map 5 pretty much done just not satisfied (as I often am with my maps in the beginning) with certain sections so I will redo it some. Hopefully you should have something soonish.

That I might reconsider. OG Trans had all green armor, that's why I went with this outfit color, but I guess I'll see.

I plan no coding changes, so it technically could be played in any port.

Also a tiny update regarding the title: RTDTWID is gonna be no longer the name of this project as I don't want to cause any confusion about the nature of this mod. This project is not affiliated with Wolf3DGuy's TWID series and so a name change is due - I should have done this sooner, but I've really struggled to come up with anything catchy. From now on the proper title should be "Return to Danger - IDeas FormGenerations" (RTDIDFG).

Looks awesome Orka! Can't wait to play this. R2D I tried to play once and it's just....blah, but I kinda love the look and feel of it otherwise, so excited to try this.

I finished this the other day and really enjoyed it! I replayed some of my favorites a second time as well. Like any community set it's going to have highs and lows , but even the low moments weren't enough to bring the set down any and they still had at least something in it that did well.

I'm going to list what I thought the top 5 maps were (not necessarily in favorite order, just playing order), but some of the other maps came close to making this list though. I'll try to be vague and avoid spoilers.

1. Map 1: Really great opener with excellent pacing and a great, hectic moment that one might not expect given the feel of the map before!

2. Map 7: Very atmospheric with a good use of textures and while I am not usually a huge fan of push wall heavy maps, this one uses them masterfully. Great action too.

3. Map 10: Really fun boss map, not much to say. A lot of action up to the boss and it's definitely possible to run out of ammo for the boss if you aren't secret hunting!

4. Map 14: Great atmosphere and action at the same time, the map really feels like a journey to the end. Mutant Bat city.

5. Map 15: Really tough one, especially on a pistol start! If there is one map you should pistol start it's definitely this one. Enjoyed the flow and action all the way through.

Would definitely like to see more community projects like this in the future! I really enjoyed mapping for it personally.
